When you go to a record following a links on DatoCMS, you get the record but if the list of records is ordered by a hierarchical sorting, it is difficult to guess where it is in the hierachy…
This would be the case if the hierarchy from this record will be expanded on opening it from the link :

Good catch. I’ll let our UX designer know about this, and see if this is something we might be able to address.
There might be some limitations with the library we use to handle the hierarchical trees, so I’m not 100% sure if this is possible, but we can look and see.

I’ve discussed it with the dev team — we’re not going to develop this feature right now, sorry, but it’s already in our queue, so it’s just a matter of time before we get to it. In the meantime, I recommend having this Feature Request voted on so it can gain more traction. I’ll keep you posted!
