I’m aware of this feature request that’s been closed, and the workaround. Tie published state to a workflow status
I will implement the workaround, but the workflows feature should really be fully integrated with draft/published status. Having these as two separate things is highly confusing to our end users. Published should be the final workflow state, and all the others should be considered Draft status.
