[AI Translations] Field exclusion list is empty and shows "undefined (undefined)" when the vendor isn't DeepL

Hi:waving_hand:

Following up on AI TRANSLATE plugin - exclude: the exclusion rules are a great addition, but I think the field exclusion doesn’t work in the config screen with vendors other than OpenAI.

Plugin versions: 3.7.0 / 3.7.1 (we also run 3.5.5 on other projects)
Vendor: DeepL (no OpenAI key set)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Set the vendor to DeepL.
  2. In General translation settings, turn on Show exclusion rules.
  3. Open Fields to be excluded from translation.

What happens

  • The dropdown has no options, so no field can be selected.
  • Values that are already saved show up as undefined (undefined), whether they are field IDs or API keys.

Good news: the exclusion itself works

The translation code matches exclusions by field ID, API key and field path, including inside nested blocks. As a workaround, we set it through the CMA:

await client.plugins.update(pluginId, {
  parameters: { ...currentParameters, apiKeysToBeExcludedFromThisPlugin: ['season_type'] },
});

One entry, season_type, excludes the field from every block that has it. That’s actually handier than choosing each field one by one.

Thanks for the plugin! :folded_hands:

Hello @clement.thoret

You’re right, nice catch!

We’ve just fixed this in v3.7.2 :slight_smile:

Thank you once again for letting us know!

Hello Marcelo,

Wow, that was fast! Thank you

Everything is working perfectly on my end, the “undefined” display issue is gone.

I noticed we still can’t input free text for a global field directly in the UI, but modifying it via the MCP works for me, so I am satisfied with this solution.

Thank you once again!
