Video eats huge resources, and this has a direct, separately-tracked impact on account billing.
Client editors aren’t always aware of this and may not think twice about uploading a 3GB video and then sharing the direct link with their whole team.
Video may in fact be completely inappropriate for the website at hand. The site may not have any facility to handle or display video. Nonetheless, clients may upload videos by accident, because they don’t understand the difference, or just as a method of sharing videos with their team.
Please introduce a way to disallow video uploading as a role-based permission.
This feature would pair well with restrictions from feature requests like: Adjustable global media file size limit – which is motivated by a similar problem.
