Trying to make a modular content block called “media” gives you the following error:
“The API identifier must expressed in singular form (ie. article, not articles)”
Media is both singular and plural, and it’s kind of annoying that I now have to give it an arbitrarily different name to get it to save.

On the issue that you report, we agree with you, but unfortunately it’s a legacy decision that we cannot change at the moment.
To prevent this you can append some text like _field to your field or _model to your models so that it will always work.
