Currently when promoting a sandbox environment the primary environment is simply swapped over to the new version.
The problem with this for us, is that editors are constantly updating content, so in the time that a sandbox environment is created, worked on and promoted many fields on existing records will have been updated and there may also be new records.
Therefore when the new environment becomes the primary one, updates will be lost.
I would like to request that when promoting a new sandbox environment to primary, any updated records are merged into the new primary environment so that nothing is lost.
