For content editors is useful to have a character count for the title and meta description fields in the SEO Field. Mainly because passing 60 characters hides the title suffix that usually needs to be present in search results.
As an addition maybe a message similar to “You exceeded the character limit, title suffix won’t be shown” would be useful. It’s confusing that the API doesn’t show it without any notice. After thinking it was a bug, I spent some time investigating until I found it in the docs:
