It would be great if the plugin SDK also worked on media custom fields, so that custom data could be more than simple strings. The same way it works for record fields (iframing an external editor, returning the appropriate data type like a string or json blob) would be great…
The use case is primarily for connecting media to outside systems, like external digital asset management systems.
