I think the native Dato GraphQL API should support cursor / edges to allow for next / previous items.
gatsby-source-datocms or Prismic GraphQL API have this.

sorry but we cannot answer to all the feature requests. We are very thankful for all the ideas and feedbacks that we get.
Whenever we are ready to work on something new we review and pick items from the feature requests. We give priority on the most voted features, but we also take some small one that we believe is very interesting. So for now please upvote whatever is interesting to you
