When you delete a collaborator that is the owner/creator of records, there is a helpful modal that appears after you commit to delete the account. However if you don’t know that is going to happen, as a user you might be hesitant to delete the account and therefore not see that step. I experienced this when a client who was doing a staffing changeover was scared to commit to deleting the old account as it was their only access to the records.
It would be helpful if there was some messaging associated with the delete collaborator button along the lines of “You will be able to transfer any records managed by this user at the next step”
Even better would be calling out how many records are owned by this user so they understand that those records will be transferred.
